Hello, I am Remy
I have been teaching French to Russian speakers for twelve years, by video call, one hour at a time.
My background
Born in Lyon, I studied literature and then language teaching. I lived four years in Saint Petersburg, where I learned Russian — and came to understand what in French gives Russian speakers the most trouble.
My qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in translation in Russian, English, and French, obtained in 2026 from Perm National Research Polytechnic University.
My experience
Over five years of online teaching, I have worked with more than a hundred students, from beginners to advanced learners.
How I teach
My approach to teaching is well-rounded. In our lessons, we combine grammar, reading and discussing texts, listening practice, free conversation on topics that interest you, video-based exercises, and verb conjugation when needed. These elements are constantly alternated so that you regularly revisit what you have learned and reinforce it through repetition. I believe that learning comes through repetition. Covering a grammar topic once is not enough to master it. That is why we do not simply move on after introducing a topic: we keep returning to different aspects of the language throughout the learning process.
