Only the Russian version of this document is legally binding. The French and English versions are provided as a courtesy.
This Policy sets out how the personal data of users of the Site is processed and the measures taken to keep it secure. It is drawn up in accordance with Federal Law No. 152-FZ of 27 July 2006 on Personal Data. The data controller is the French teacher whose registration details are published on the “Legal information” page of the Site. No one else has access to users’ personal data.
Personal data — any information relating to a directly or indirectly identified individual. Processing — any operation performed on personal data, whether or not by automated means. Controller — the person who organises and carries out the processing of personal data. User — the individual who has created an account on the Site.
Personal data is processed solely for the following purposes: — creating and maintaining the User’s account and providing access to their Personal area; — concluding and performing the service contract on the terms of the Public offer; — booking lessons, displaying their time in the User’s time zone, cancelling and rescheduling them; — correspondence between the User and the controller about the lessons; — keeping track of paid and credited lessons; — sending the User the messages needed to deliver the service, including the password reset email; — protecting the Site against automated password guessing and other abuse. Personal data is not used for advertising purposes.
Personal data is processed on the following bases: — the consent of the data subject, obtained through a separate document; — performance of the contract to which the data subject is a party; — compliance with the obligations imposed on the controller by the legislation of the Russian Federation.
The controller processes only the data that the User provides or that arises from use of the Site: — email address; — first name and surname; — interface language and time zone; — level of French and learning goals given at sign-up; — lesson history: date and time, status of the lesson, cancellations and reschedulings; — lesson payment information: amount, currency and date; — record of credited lessons; — messages exchanged with the controller and files attached to them, including each file’s name, type and size; — the controller’s notes about the User’s lessons; — the IP address and email address used in a sign-in attempt, solely in order to limit the number of attempts; — the dates the account was created and last changed. No special categories of personal data and no biometric data are processed. The password is not known to the controller: it is stored only as an irreversible cryptographic hash. The Site takes no payments and collects no bank card or bank account details. Lessons are not recorded.
The Site uses cookies that are necessary for the sign-in session: they let the User stay signed in while moving from page to page. A session lasts thirty days from its last use. The Site uses no analytics, advertising or behavioural tracking cookies and sends no data to any web analytics service.
Personal data is kept no longer than the purposes of its processing require. Account data is kept for as long as the account exists. After an account is closed, the information needed to evidence the services delivered and paid for is kept for the period laid down by the legislation of the Russian Federation. Information about sign-in attempts is kept only briefly and deleted automatically. A password reset link is valid for one hour; a new request cancels the previous one.
The controller does not disclose personal data to third parties, except where expressly provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation. Files attached to messages are kept on the Site’s own server and are not sent to any external storage service. The Site is hosted by a hosting provider that keeps the server running and does not access the content of personal data for its own purposes. No cross-border transfer of personal data takes place.
The controller takes the legal, organisational and technical measures needed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, destruction, alteration and disclosure. Access to the Personal area is protected by a password, which is stored as a cryptographic hash. Data travels between the User’s browser and the Site over a secure connection. The number of sign-in attempts is limited. Only the controller has access to personal data.
The User has the right: — to obtain information about the processing of their personal data; — to require that their personal data be corrected, blocked or destroyed where it is incomplete, out of date, inaccurate or unlawfully obtained; — to withdraw consent to the processing of their personal data; — to complain about the controller to the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) or before the courts. The User changes some data themselves in their Personal area: first name and surname, interface language, time zone and password.
The User may close their account themselves, from the “My account” section of their Personal area. Closing is not possible while a future lesson is booked: it must be cancelled first. On closure, access to the Site ends and the email address is replaced by an anonymous value, with no way back. The remaining information is kept: first name and surname, level and learning goals, lesson history, payment information, correspondence and the controller’s notes. The controller needs it to evidence the obligations performed and to keep accounts. Any request for the complete destruction of personal data should be sent to the controller at the email address shown on the “Legal information” page and is carried out within the periods laid down by law.
The controller may amend this Policy. The version in force is always available on this page; the date it was last updated appears at the top. Any question about the processing of personal data should be sent to the email address shown on the “Legal information” page of the Site.
